About Sarisa
Sarisa (Lisa/Pear) was a kind-hearted, lively, and driven person. As the only daughter of her family, she was deeply loved and cherished by everyone around her. She lived a life full of purpose. She dreamed big, worked hard, and was always looking for a way to learn, lead, and give back to her community. Over the years she became a student leader, entrepreneur, volunteer, and eventually President of the Association of Thai Students in America (ATSA). She also studied Management at Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business, where she pursued her passion for hospitality and event management.
Sarisa believed deeply in the importance of education and giving back. Her warmth filled every room she walked into. We want to honor her legacy by creating this scholarship in her name. Sarisa had a deep passion for bringing people together around a shared purpose — and that’s the spirit behind this charity run.
We hope this scholarship helps students who lack proper access to education and inspires them to explore their fullest potential — the same way Sarisa did through one of her most memorable contributions, ATSA Expo 2025: Wings of Ambition. The student-led university and career fair gave Thai students the opportunity to explore their path and inspire them to never stop learning.

About the
Sarisa Scholarship
The ATSA Charity Run and Sarisa Scholarship were created to honor the life, values, and legacy of Sarisa Kongduang by turning community support into educational opportunities for students who need them most.
Together with Sarisa’s family, we hope to create lasting impact through access to English-language learning, educational resources, and future opportunities.
Our goal is simple: create opportunities that can change a student’s future.
Through this initiative, we hope to
- —Support approximately 75 students
- —Expand access to English-learning opportunities
- —Increase confidence and educational readiness
- —Help students prepare for university and career opportunities
- —Create measurable educational impact that lasts beyond this campaign
Sarisa believed that education opens doors.
For many students, learning English is more than learning a language. It is access to scholarships, university admissions, internships, careers, and opportunities that may otherwise feel out of reach. This scholarship exists to help students take that next step.
Every donation tells a student: “You deserve an opportunity.”

Scholarship Information
Purpose
To provide underprivileged, motivated Thai students with access to English-language learning opportunities that can support their educational and career goals.
Scholarship Structure
In partnership with Teach For Thailand, scholarship recipients will participate in a structured English-readiness program designed to help prepare them for future educational and career opportunities.
The current program includes:
- English-learning support and resources
- Practice assessments and mock exams
- Progress tracking and goal setting
- TOEIC preparation
At the end of the program, scholarship funds will cover:
- TOEIC examination fees
- Transportation costs associated with taking the exam
Fundraising Goal: 150,000 THB
Estimated Students Supported: Approximately 75 students
Scholarship Recipients
Talent and ambition exist everywhere, but opportunity does not.
This scholarship focuses on students who have the drive to succeed but may not have access to the resources needed to reach their goals.
Students who:
- Demonstrate financial need
- Show strong motivation to improve their English skills
- Aspire to pursue higher education
- Would benefit from English-language certification and preparation
Students will be identified and recommended through Teach For Thailand’s network based on:
- Financial need
- Motivation
- Educational potential
- Interest in developing English-language skills
- Age 15 and above
